The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC), has a requirement for Four (4) SCSI attached external RAID disc subsystems to attach to computer systems using Red Hat Linux version 6.2. Each RAID subsystem will consist of: 1. 19 inch rack mountable enclosure with 8 half-height disc bays; 2. Redundant power supplies; 3. Low Voltage Differential (LVD) Ultra 2 SCSI 80 MB/sec interface; 4. Operator control panel for operating system independent configuration; 5. RAID 0+1 support; 6. 7 or 8 disc drives in each subsystem with the following characteristics for each drive: -- 36 gigabytes or greater capacity; -- Ultra 160 drive interface; -- 10,000 rpm; -- SCA-2 hot swappable.
