The U.S. Customs Service (USCS) is interested in information from small business companies who have the capability to manufacture 82_ Blue Water Vessel in accordance with the American Bureau of Shipping Rules for Vessels Under 200 Feet. The vessel shall be configured to meet the following specifications: DWL 74_; Beam 22_; Depth 10_ 4_; Draft (Extreme) 6_ 10_; Speed w/5000 gallons of fuel 15 Knots; Range 2,500 NM; Fuel Capacity 10,000 gallons; Portable Water 600 gallons; Crew 6 persons. The vessel shall also be equipped with main engines, shafting, rudders, steering gear, generators, pumps, fire extinguishing system, generator and shore power, electrical system, deck/cockpit, anchoring, wheelhouse, galley mess area, berthing area, heads with showers, and the following electronics: depth sounder, VHF radio, two meter radio, SSB radio GPS, auto pilot, speed log, primary radar, radar, plotter, chart link, EPIRB, compass and Loran C. The vessel hull shall be warranted from structural defects for a period of five years. All structure shall be built of ASTM A-36 domestic steel. Contractors should provide information relating to their experiences in manufacturing an 82_ Blue Water Vessels, and a list of previously awarded contracts including a point of contact.
