The U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center has a requirement for mission
support instrumentation development services. The requirement includes
but not limited to the following tasks: study and development
quantitive requirements on a quick reaction basis for test facilities,
instrumentation systems, perform concept studies concerning new
instrumentation techniques, accomplish engineering design of specific
test equipment and instrumentation systems, study and develop test and
measurement techniques as related to specific material items or
commodity classes. Provide operational support such as fabrication and
installation of mechanical equipment-in-place, electronic systems,
design, and implementation of packaging techniques for electronic
systems located in harsh environments. The solicitation will require
pricing for a base year and four one-year options. A Firm Fixed Price
with Time-and-Materials requirements contract is anticipated. The
closing date has not been firmly established but is estimated on or
about 15 May 2000. The solicitation will be posted to the following
website on or about 18 March 2000: (http://abop.monmouth.army.mil). A
parer solicitation solicitation package is not available and will not
be made available. The package will be available only from the website
provided above. Potential offerors may view the RFP by clcicking on

number NOTE: Contractor's facilities is restricted to a 125 mile radius
of Aberdeen Proving Ground due to the Government's on going travel
