Jans, 937/257-6145 Ext. 4236 This notice announces the intent of Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to solicit offerors for a competitive commercial acquisition for services to move and merge the book and journal collections of two libraries in Area B of Wright-Patterson AFB. The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Technical Library in building 571 will move to the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) Academic Library in building 642 and portions of the journal collections from each library will move to a remote storage site, also in Area B. IT IS INTENDED THAT THIS AWARD WILL BE MADE AS A COMMERCIAL ITEM ACQUISITION IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR PART 12 AND WILL BE ISSUED ON A STANDARD FORM 1449 WITH ADDENDA. The period of performance for this acquisition is anticipated to be 15 April 2000 -- 15 May 2000. This proposed procurement is a 100% small business set- aside under SIC Code 4214, Size Standard $18.5M. Only companies, including their affiliates, with average annual receipts of $18,500,000.00 or less during the last three (3) completed fiscal years are considered small. See numbered Note 1. This award will be made using the Two-Step Sealed Bidding procedures in accordance with FAR 14.5. Under Step 1, offerors are to submit a technical proposal only. Price or cost estimates are NOT included in Step 1. An Invitation for Bid will be issued under Step 2 to those firms whose technical proposals have been determined to be acceptable.
