A -- SHELF LIFE EXTENSION TECHNOLOGY RELATING TO THE DETECTION OF LIQUID HAZARDOUS MATERIALS USING IMBEDDED SENSOR TECHNOLOGY SOL N00167-00-R-0017 POC Lisa Holland (301)227-1101 or Lynn Rowe (301)227-1100 The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to procure scientific and technical expertise in the area of shelf life extension technology relating to the detection of liquid hazardous materials using embedded sensor technology. These services will be procured on a sole source basis by authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) from McDermott Technology, Inc. We intend to solicit to McDermott because they possess the most current technology base in the area of dielectric spectroscopy technique. The period of performance will be for a total of three years and consists of a base period of performance and three options to continue research. The RFP will be issued on or about 8 March 2000, with a closing date of approximately thirty days thereafter. All responsible sources may submit proposals that will be considered by the agency.
