The Naval Inventory Control Point intends to solicit a proposal for establishment of a multi-year commercial Performance Based Logistics(PBL) contract (previously referred to as Direct Vendor Delivery), forsupport of the Heads-Up Display and Digital Display Instruments utilizedon F/A-18 aircraft. The scope of this effort would encompass repair,modification, overhaul and replacement of hardware, including manufactureof new material, storage and transportation, requisition processing, andproduct reliability and availability improvement. The only source known tohave full manufacturing and repair capability is Kaiser Electronics, SanJose, CA. Complete data, and full rights to same, required to supportperformance of this type contract by any other source, are not availablefrom the government.
