The Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for a commercial-off-the-shelf commercial control electronics system to replace and upgrade portions of an existing hydraulically-driven three-axis flight simulator that resides within the Naval Research Laboratory, Central Target Simulation (CTS) facility. The CTS facility's flight table simulator system requires replacement of aging and obsolete electronic components to reduce rising maintenance costs and increase in-service time. The revised multi-axis flight table control system will include a new digital interface with accompanying interface software. The contractor will interface their system with existing systems in CTS. In addition, the Contractor will provide hardware and software documentation, as well as written interface and acceptance test plans. Delivery will be six months after award of contract. The Naval Research Laboratory uses Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue RFPs and amendments to RFPs. A detailed performance specification/description will be issued with the solicitation.
