RA70 Disk Drive: -- The purpose of this market survey is to locate a source for 200 refurbished or serviceable used RA70 disk drives. These drives were originally manufactured by Digital Equipment Corporation DEC), now Compaq Computer Corporation, Maynard, MA, CAGE 15476. Specific requirement is that these disk drives have the 28 pin DIP-socketed "UV PROM", (which is the only plug-in socket of either module making up the Electronic Control Module) with a code revision of "23-637E6-00", i.e. with firmware version "V83". This market survey is directed to sources that have the required test procedures necessary to identify that the correct firmware is contained in the "UV PROM".
