(USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant
Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) and Veterinary Services (VS),located at
the Miami International Airport (MIA),Florida, is seeking vendor
sources to satisfy the need for a follow-on Performance Based Service
Contract(PBSC) for Maintenance of Telecommunications Infrasturcture.
The current contractor for these services is Williams Communications.
This requirement is determined to be under Standard Industrial Code
(SIC) 7379. The contract contemplated for this requirement will be for
five (5) years beginning October 1, 2000, through, September 30, 2005,
(1 base year; 4 options) to support the continued operation of the
Local Area Network (LAN)at(MIA)in Miami, Florida. Any vendor that can
satisfy this search must provide technical or marketing literature in
order to support satisfying the technical requirement of -- Providing
access to the Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure at the various
APHIS offices at the MIA, for maintenance of the existing cabling
Infrastructure. This network, commonly referred to as Airtele, spans
the approximately 25 square mile MIA complex. This is a
"state-of-the-art" fiber optic based communications network via long
term contract with the Dade County Aviation Department (DCAD). In
addition to the technical and marketing literature, interested sources
must also include the following for evaluation by the Contracting
Officer: (1) Company Name and address; (2) Company contact Name and
telephone number; (3) If available, any available contracting vehicles
such as Federal Supply Schedules (FSS), Government Wide Acquisition
Contracts (GWAC) or existing Federal Contracts that can satisfy this
requirement; (4) Business Status (Large, Small, Small Women-Owned,
Disadvantaged, Veterans status, etc..); (5) Tax Identification Number
(TIN); and (6) Company Capability Statement. All information must be
