B -- ENUMERATION OF THE COLONIAS IN TEXAS DUE 030100 POC Richard Bitzer, 301-457-2004 The U.S. Bureau of the Census has a requirement to enumerate a hard to reach population in Texas. These Texas residents are located in geographical subdivisions known as Colonias. Many cultural and economic barriers exist which prevent the Bureau of the Census from using normal enumeration techniquest to reach these citizens. Accordingly, the Bureau of the Census intends to award sole source simplified acquisition to the College of Architecture, Texas A&M University through their Center for Housing and Urban Development to acquire their expertise to enumerate the residents located in the Colonias.
