for a quantity of two(2) different types of government designed
aluminum racks to be used aboard US Navy ships. One requirement is for
60 each pail/bottle racks, dimensions approximately 25" by 35" by 13",
and the other requirement is for 74 each paint brush box holder racks,
dimensions approximately 18" by 10" by 12". Both are fabricated from
type 6061 aluminum by welding and bending as necessary. There will be
provisions in the contract for a production model of one each to be
inspected by the Navy prior to fabricating the full production run.
Delivery of the pre-production items will be required fifteen(15) days
after award. The drawings(one each) will be available in facsimile
form upon written request. The government will award to the responsible
offeror whose offer represents the best value to the government..not
necessarily to the lowest acceptable offeror. In order to determine the
best value the government will consider the price quotation submitted
and relevant past performance. Past performance data shall be submitted
that includes the following information on at least three(3) sales of
identical/similar items: (A) Customer, including company name, address,
and name and telephone number of point of contact; (B) Contract or
sales record number, and date of order; (C) Number and type of items
sold, including model number(s). After considering information
submitted in response to this request for quote, and information
otherwise available, the government will award to the source providing
the best value to the government based upon price and past
performance, with past performance as an evaluation factor being
approximately equal to price. In addition, within 15 days after
contract award, the contractor shall have fabricated the pre-production
models in preparation for inspection by the government. The contractor
shall notify the government of the date of the inspection. Within 30
days after release for production, the contractor shall delivery 50% of
the order (30 pail racks and 28 paint brush holder boxes). The
remaining quantity shall be delivered 60 days after release for
production. Earlier deliveries are acceptable. Packaging shall be
preserved and marked per the requirements of American Society For
Testing and Materials(ASTM) standard practice designation number
D3951(latest edition). The paint brush holders shall be packaged
four(4) to a box. Any leftover holders after boxing in lots of 4 shall
be boxed individually. A label depicting contract number/name/part
number/quantity shall be attached to the box. The gallong pail racks
shall be packaged individually. A label depicting contract
number/name/part number/quantity shall be attached to the box. Delivery
shall be to two(2)locations: Virgina Beach, VA 23455 and Chula Vista,
CA 91910. Reponses must include the following information: business
size, delivery time, payment terms, cage code, tax id number, duns
number, and are you CCR registered. All resonsible sources may submit
a quotation which, if received in a timely manner, shall be considered
by the agency. This is a combined solicitation/CBD; there will be no
