The Marine Corps Systems Command is seeking information concerning non-developmental mechanical minefield clearing devices that destroy or neutralize antipersonnel/ antitank mines and obstacles. The device should provide a cleared lane width of 13' (threshold), 15' (objective); and a cleared lane depth of 12" (threshold), 16" (objective). The device must be able to be integrated with an existing United States Marine Corps survivable vehicle platform and able to clear minefields and obstacles on beaches and inland in the majority of soil types. In addition to the clearing device, the Marine Corps Systems Command is interested in obtaining information about ground marking system(s) that can be attached to an existing United States Marine Corps survivable vehicle platform and provide day and night marking of the cleared area. It is requested that interested parties provide rough order of magnitude pricing, testing information (commercial and/or Government), descriptive and technical data regarding their system(s), at no cost or obligation to the Government. Written responses should be submitted no later than 29 Feb 2000. The submission of this product information should not be construed as a commitment to procure equipment.
