Service, Department of the Interior, is soliciting proposals (in the
form of a negotiated firm-fixed price contract requiring submission of
both a technical and a price proposal). The work to be performed under
these contract documents generally describes the general rehabilitation
of Independence National Historical Park, Bishop White House Utility
Rehabilitation. The estimated price range is between $500,000 and
$1,000,000. The work of this contract consists of replacing HVAC
equipment and appurtenances. Installing new reheat coils, humidifiers,
and DDC controls. Replace some existing exposed ductwork and
transitions, and clean and reuse existing ductwork. Connecting HVAC
equipment to the central chilled and heating water systems. Connecting
DDC controls to data highway and chiller plant DDC control system, and
modify chiller plant DDC head end software to recognize new building
points. Providing power for new HVAC equipment. Replacing power
distribution equipment and wiring. Replacing all existing smoke
detectors and wiring with new smoke detectors and wiring. Replacing
fire alarm panel. Installing new smoke detection. Installing new
innerduct, and fiber optic cable in existing conduit to make a
continuous connection between the command center/chiller plant, and the
Bishop White House. Replacing existing lighting, and providing
additional lighting and provision for future security systems.
Providing a new automatic fire sprinkler system. Providing an
accessible ramp and entrance through Headquarters, 311-313 Walnut
Street to the Bishop White House. The work of this contract will take
place at 309, 311, and 313 Walnut Street, Independence National
Historical Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Time for completion, 180
calendar days. All requests for project documents must be made in
