This is a COMMERCIAL REQUIREMENT with some government specific requirements and will be competed on an unrestricted basis. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Pacific Activity, (SPAWARSYSCEN PAC), has a requirement for a deployable tactical cellular telephone system that shall interface with an existing Switch/Multiplexer Unit (SMU-95). This consists of three High Mobility Multi-purpose wheeled vehicles (HMMWV, M1097, heavy variant), two communications/ADP Shelters, and three trailers. The system shall be comprised of a cellular base station, base station controller, antenna assembly, 26 cellular telephones and shall interface with existing SMU-95. A minimum of 10 cellular telephones shall be STUIII/STE interoperable. RFQ will be posted on approximately 15 February2000 with a 15 day proposal period (with proposals due on 2 March 2000).
