Command Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division has a
requirement to revise, and if necessary to rewrite maintenance
procedures ensuring the mechanically correct procedures are in the
Technical Manuals (TMs) for the M85, M85-100 and M85-200 Laundry Units.
The contractor shall combine the Operator's Maintenance Manuals, Unit,
Direct Support and General Maintenance Manual, and the Unit, Direct
Support and General Support Repair Parts and Special Tools List into
one manual to reflect all three models of the M85. The contractor shall
utilize as a reference TM 103510-222-10/24/24P for this purpose. The
contractor shall update all appendices. The contractor shall develop DA
Form 2406, Materiel Condition Status Report criteria to be outlined in
the Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services section of the TM. All
updates will be verified/proven by the contractor utilizing equipment
as it exists at the unit level and with unit/Direct Support/General
Support maintenance personnel.PM Soldier Support will coordinate all
visits to units for this purpose. An M85 is available at Natick for
contractor use. Revised manuals will incorporate all approved changes
to the M85 since the last revision. This procurement will be conducted
using commercial methods under FAR Part 12. The Government will award
a Firm-Fixed Price contract. The Standard Industrial Code for this
acquisition is 2741. The small business size standard is 500 employees.
This acquisition will be conducted on as a small business set aside.
The evaluation criteria is as follows: 1. Compliance with the Statement
of Work and Contract Data Requirements List provided with the
solicitation; 2. Cost/Price; 3. Delivery Schedule and 4. Past
Performance. The Request for Proposal will be released on or about
February 11, 2000 and will be posted and available for download on the
SBCCOM homepage at: http://www3.natick.army.mil under Acquisition
Center, Business Opportunities and Ongoing Acquisitions. In accordance
with FAR Part 5.102 (a) (7) all documents (RFP, amendments, etc.)
associated with this acquisition will be released via the SBCCOM
