Engineering services in support of engineering research, development,
and design of systems deployment in correctional facilities and other
selected applications. This procurement will support applied research
and insertion of emerging electronic and computer technology at
correctional and other secure facilities and to establish system
standards for correctional institutions at all levels of the
Government. Program objectives are to insert prototype technology,
assist in development of new operational standards and procedures,
develop standards and guidelines, and improve the overall efficiency of
correctional institutions through the transfer of DOD and advanced
technology into these institutions. Efforts will include integration
and installation with emerging and State-of-the-Art (SOTA) technologies
in areas of surveillance, security, and integrated
network/communication systems. Research, investigation, systems design
and integration, and technical support are a continuation of previous
initiativesand must conform to previous research, standards, and
guidelines. Aproximately 27,450 man-hours per year for a base year with
two one-year options plus materials, and travel/per diem are
