Environment Division of the National Institute of Standards and
Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a contractor to perform an
analysis of natural ventilation in U.S. commercial buildings, including
the simulation of natural ventilation using the multizone airflow and
indoor air quality model CONTAM. This analysis and simulation effort
will constitute a scoping effort to determine the important parameters
and to develop hypotheses for consideration in future work. Issues to
be examined include the impact of climate, building configuration
including height, building envelope tightness, and different approaches
to natural ventilation. The specific tasks are described in the
Statement of Work included in the Request for Quotation. The Request
for Quotation is being issued utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified
Acquisition Procedures. The period of performance shall be from the
date of award through September 30, 2000. The Government anticipates to
award a firm-fixed price purchase order withintwo weeks after the due
date. The Request for Quotation package will be issued on or about
January 27, 2000 with quotes due within 15 calendar days. Please fax

set-aside for small business. The Standard Industrial Classification is
