to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the deposition of low
thermal conductivity ceramics on a maximum of 78 Government furnished
test specimens using electron beam vapor deposition (EB-PVD). This
procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition

technology development efforts and have patented processes that
recently demonistrated coating life improvements. They are the only
source with the capability to provide both layers of the coating system
to 1) apply a FAA certified OEM production high-temperature/low
activity outward type diffusion Pt-Al bond coat, Spec. No. MDC-15OL on
GRC supplied buttons; 2)Application of FAA certified OEM production
EB-PVD 7% (Yttria stabilized zirconia) coating, Spec. No. MDC-620 on
these buttons; 3) apply advanced EB-PVD coatings applied according to
Spec. No. MDC-620 on these buttons; and 4)application of thick 7% YSZ
