paint, rust, and surface contaminants from existing wood and metal
lantern surfaces, including railings, wall panels, roof panels, liners,
heat shield, lens mount/pedestal, hatch, woodwork, and vent ball;
protecting the Fresnel lens is required; removing existing paint, rust,
and surface contaminants from existing cast iron stairs, including
landings, support columns, beams, the ladder, and the railing at the
watch deck landing; new stainless steel astragals; new glazing;
replacing rotted wood trim in the lantern; repointing brickwork and
replacing shims under the landing deck and at beam bearing areas;
replacing rusted sections of the exterior railing at the lantern and
incidental related work. Estimated cost of this project is between
