utilizes the NCD -- X-terminals to support AEGIS computer program
development. The NCD X-terminals are loaded from NCD software residing
on an open VMS computer system. This software requires storage space
on the computer systems as well as a system administrator who is
trained to configure the NSD X-terminals. The ACC has significantly
invested in the NCD X-terminals and to date has installed over 90 of
these terminals with maintenance support. Only GTSI can satisfy the
government's need to maintain compatibility with existing hardware and
software being utilized to support AEGIS computer program development
and maintenance. Selection of a different manufacturer would require
ACC system administrators to learn new software packages and provide
system administration for additional types of X-terminals installed.
Additionally maintenance costs would increase. These items will be
acquired on a limited source basis utilizing the Simplified Acquisition
