COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JANUARY 14,2000 PSA#2516U.S. Army CECOM, CECOM Acquisition Center, Fort Monmouth, NJ
07703-5008 D -- ADJUSTABLE NIGHT SIGHT BRACKET FOR MK-19 POC Joan Quackenbush at
732-532-1093 This is a market investigation to locate manufacturing
sources with a demonstrated capability to produce TVS-5/5A night vision
sight mounting brackets for the MK-19 Grenade Machine Gun. The bracket
is the mechanical interface between Mk-19 Grenade Machine Gun and the
AN/TVS-5/5A long-range night vision sight, and provides a stable
platform by which to secure that sight to that weapon. The bracket also
provides compensation for windage of the outgoing round, and elevation
adjustment to compensate for trajectory. A Government-approved
Technical Data Package, based on 7075 aluminum (machined) parts, where
applicable, can be provided in Pro Engineer format (drawing number
80063-ASSY-A3260830). The Government is seeking best value approaches
to procuring brackets with same functionality as the existing limited
procurement bracket. Required production rate is expected to be 400 per
month, commencing ideally 16 weeks after contract award. An initial
delivery of 5 production-representative prototypes will be required for
Government operational, verification, and safety testing. Total
procurement is expected to be approximately 7000 units. This is a
market survey and is not a request for proposal. Interested sources
possessing the capability to perform the above described manufacturing,
who wish to obtain additional information should respond to the below
points of contact. For drawings or technical data package, please
