Michael Dodd, SEA 02522, (703) 602-8000 Ext. 568 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has a requirement for the following services and supplies: one (1) AN/SPS-49A (V) 1 Radar FC5 Modification Kit, AN/SPS-49A (V) 1 Radar Modification Kit Integration services, four (4) AN/SPS-49A (V) 5 Radar, AN/SPS-49A (V) 1 Composite Installation and Checkout Spares, AN/SPS-49 (V) 5 Composite Installation and Checkout Spares, AN/SPS-49 (V) 5 ninety (90) day spares, Field Engineering Services, and related technical data and support. NAVSEA intends to limit issuance of Solicitation N00024-00-R-5235 to Raytheon Electronic Systems because it is has been the design agent and sole manufacturer of the AN/SPS-49 (V) radar and is the only known firm that has the capability to meet requirements without incurring delivery delays and significant additional investment. It is expected that the contract resulting from this solicitation will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).
