99 -- SEATING UPHOLSTERY FABRICS & LEATHERS SOL Seating Fabrics DUE 031000 POC Darlene Robinson, Contracting Officer Fax (202)305-7363 or 7365 UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries is soliciting on a full and open competitive basis for a single award for a distributor/manufacturer to supply various kinds and types of upholstery fabrics and leathers nationwide, to Prison Industry Factories producing seating products. The offeror will be responsible for developing, establishing and maintaining stock inventory of fabrics selected for UNICOR use. The offeror must be knowledgeable of the commercial upholstery market and current trends and conditions. The offeror must have a proven track record of accomplishments providing both design and technical services. The offeror must present capabilities to obtain a wide variety of fabrics requested by UNICOR both from mills sources or jobbers. UNICOR encourages offerors to partner or team to present the strongest offering to UNICOR and its customers. Offeror must present plans of stocking and shipping of goods to meet UNICOR's upholstery program. Offeror is expected to bring to UNICOR the newest and latest upholstery trends and pricing incentives to compete in today's competitive federal market. Offeror must provide samples cards for sales support of this program.. These materials need to be presented in commercial format to compete in today's federal market place. Offeror must be able to deliver a limited range of fabrics in seven days and a large range of fabrics in and fourteen days. UNICOR will have a pre-proposal conference to be announced on a later date to present the potential offeror what UNICOR will require on this contract. The scope of work will be provided as well as sample fabrics cards that demonstrate what is envisioned for this program offering. Statement of work to be provided under a separated cover.
