75 -- FORMS RACKS SOL TIRMS-00-Q-00546 DUE 012100 POC Mary Benzinger 972/308-1971 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. Solicitation number TIRMS-00-Q-00546 is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) incorporating provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-04. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 2522; the applicable size standard is 500 employees. Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001: 1000 each Forms Display Racks (black metal). Racks should be upright, 23 pocket literature racks. Need to be able to display any 8 1/2" or 9" x 11" literature, at least 150 sheets per pocket. Each pocket should show only the top 2 1/2" of the literature. All units should be able to be wall mounted using pre-punched keyhole slots and be able to convert units into self-standing floor units. Dimensions -- Racks 9 3/4" x 65 x 4, pocket size 8 3/4" x 8 1/2" x 3/4", and weigh no more than 22 pounds. CLIN 0002: 1000 each Bases for steel literature racks. Dimensioins for base: 13 7/16" x 5 7/8" x 14". Weight not more than 3 pounds. Products need to be individually boxed with base and rack in one box. Cartons should be shipped on a single stringer wooden pallet 40" x 48". Pallet size should not be stacked higher than 72". Delivery is to be made FOB Destination to various IRS locations in the United States. This contract will be awarded for 1000 racks now, but we will have options to add more racks in the future by modification to the orignal award. This is being done under the test program. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items is incorporated by reference and applies to this solicitation. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from the RFQ to the responsible offeror whose quotation conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors will be used to evaluate quotations: 1) the item meets the specifications, 2) price and 3) delivery time. The provision at FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representation and Certifications Commercial Item, is incorporated in this solicitation and offerors shall include a complete copy of this provision with their quotes. FAR clause 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial items and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders are incorporated in this solicitation.
