E-MAIL: Click here to contact the Contract Specialist via,
john.martin@c3smail.monmouth.army.mil. A Market Survey is being
performed for a Device(s) to replace the LTU, IWF and PSHTI Devices
currently configured for use with the Triband Tactical Terminal
(T3(H)). The AN/TSC-156(V)1/3/4 Triband Tactical Terminal (T3(H)) will
be fielded by PM TRIBAND, which is part of PM, MILSATCOM, Fort
Monmouth, NJ. The current fielding configuration includes a
CV-4180A(V)3 Line Termination Unit (LTU), NSN 5895-01-392-0046, for the
necessary conversions between the Digital Transmission Groups (DTGs) of
Tactical TRI-TAC/MSE Networks and the circuits of Commercial Networks
(i.e. T1s, E1s, etc). The current configuration also includes a Packet
Switch Host Trunk Interface (PSHTI) Card, NSN 5998-01-361-6786,
embedded in the LTU chassis providing a serial data circuit at a rate
of 64 or 128 kbps beween the Tactical and Commercial Networks.
Collocated with the LTU, as an interface between the LTU and Commercial
Networks, is the Tactical SECTEL(R)Inter Working Function(IWF)/Digital
Non-Secure Telephone (DNVT) Adapter providing the capability for
STU-IIIs in Tactical Networks to talk to STU-IIIs in Commercial
Networks. The IWF interfaces to the LTU as a 16 or 32 kbps TRI-TAC
digital telephone loop and to the Commercial Networks as a 2-wire
analog telephone loop. PM, TRIBAND seeks sources to provide a device(s)
that replaces the functionality of the LTU, IWF and PSHTI in the form
of either (1) a Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) that can be housed in the
the VME Chassis of the T3(H) or (2) other device(s) that will be
deployed external to the T3(H) providing the functions of the LTU, IWF
and PSHTI. Sources should provide information on the proposed
device(s); product status, availability and its(their) advantages over
the current configuration such as improved performance, increased
capacity, greater data rates, lesser weight, lower cost greater
availability, etc. Some desired additional capabilities include: (1)
Increased quantity of DTGs converted to Commercial Networks Circuits
from one to four, and (2) a serial data circuit at rates up to 1024
kbps, compatible with the High Speed Multiplexer (HSMUX2) and Enhanced
Transmission Group Module Orderwire (E-TGMOW) Format, to replace the
PSHTI serial data circuit. PM, TRIBAND requests information on possible
partial solutions (i.e. a device that performs most of the functions of
the LTU, IWF, and PSHTI) as well. This notice is not a request for
proposals. Respondees are advised that no award will be made on the
basis of offers/proposal or other information received in response to
this notice. The point of contact for PM TRIBAND is Mr. John Martin,
(732)532-7437. E-mail: john.martin@c3smail.monmouth.army.mil. Posted
