COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JANUARY 11,2000 PSA#251370 -- PHOENIX SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE The Social Security Administration
(SSA)intends to negotiate with Phoenix Software International to
provide continued maintenance support for software product (E)JES.
(E)JES is a proprietary software tool used to obtain real time
information about jobs and resources in a Multiple Virtual
Storage/Enterprise Systems Architecture environment. The (E)JES
software consists of interactive panels that assist authorized users to
monitor and control jobs, printers, queues and other system resources.
The (E)JES software is installed on all mainframe systems located at
the National Computer Center, Baltimore, Maryland. Phoenix Software
International is the only known source capable of satisfying SSA's
maintenance requirements. Other organizations possessing the requisite
expertise and resources are invited to submit information concerning
their capabilities, experience, and other pertinent data (including GSA
contract information, brochures, past performance, licenses or
certifications) within 15 calendar days from the date of this
publication. The Government does not intend to pay for any information
provided. If no other responses are received, SSA plans to place an
order with Phoenix Software International for the required maintenance
support. Responses should be submitted to the address cited at the
