The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Acquisition
Management will issue an unrestricted, full and open competitive
solicitation for CALL CENTER INFORMATION SERVICES. The requirement will
support EPA's Office of Solid Waste (OSW), and various EPA program
offices in their role of providing regulatory and policy impact
information to the public, members of the regulated community, federal,
state, and local governments. Specifically, the Contractor shall
operate the agency's RCRA, Superfund & CEPPO Call Center. The
contractor shall respond to information requests on Federal EPA
programs developed under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act
(RCRA), the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and
Liability Act (CERCLA), and the Emergency Planning and Community
Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), the Superfund Amendments Reauthorization Act
(SARA) Title III, the Clean Air Act (CAA) Section 112(r), and the Oil
Pollution Control Act. Currently this effort is supported by Booz-Allen
Hamilton under EPA contract number 68-W6-0016. The Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) for this requirement is 8999 with a size standard
of $5 million. It is the Government's intent to issue a fixed price
contract with a one-year base and four one-year options. The
requirement will be unrestricted, seeking full and open competition.
However, the Government strongly encourages prospective offerors to
seek out partnering opportunities with qualified small businesses,
small disadvantaged business and women-owned small business concerns.
All responsible sources may submit an offer. The estimated release date
for Request for Proposal (RFP) PR-HQ-00-10038 is 1/28/00. A due date
for proposals will be established at that time. The purpose of this CBD
announcement is to notify prospective offerors of EPA's requirement,
generate a source list, and to direct interested parties to the EPA's
"Doing Business with EPA" Internet World Wide Web site at
(http://www.epa.gov/oam/srpod ) for further information onthis
procurement as it becomes available. The RFP, amendments and other
related items for this procurement will be posted on this Web site and
can be downloaded/viewed. Hard copies of the RFP, amendments and other
related items will not be provided. Prospective offerors are advised to
monitor the web site for status updates regarding this procurement.
