This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. RFQ Solicitation No.: NMA201-00-T-0001. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-15 and DFARS Change Notice 19991118. Requirement: Item 1: 5-Bay DVD-R Replication System, P/N: MSDVD-5 (IDT-MicroSynergy) or equivalent, Quantity: 1. The salient feature specific to this system is that it must be a minimum 5-bay replication system. Item 2: 10-Bay DVD-R Replication System, P/N: MSDVD-10 (IDT-MicroSynergy) or equivalent, Quantity: 1. The salient feature specific to this system is that it must be a minimum 10-bay replication system. The salient features applicable to both items are as follows: 1. One Pentium III 500MHz processor, 2. 72GB RAID Hard Drive, 3. 256MB SDRAM, 4. One Fast PCI SVGA card with minimum 8MB of SDRAM, 5. One MPEG2 Decoder with Surround Sound Capability, 6. One DVD-ROM Drive with Decoder Adapter, 7. One 10/100 Ethernet card, 8. One 15" (viewable) Monitor w/ standard resolution, 9. Tower enclosure that features swap capabilities, 10. One 3.5" Floppy Drive, 11. One USB Keyboard, 12. One USB mouse, 13. Windows NT 4.0 Workstation OS software, 14. DVD Pro-Mastering and Duplication Software, 15. MPEG Playback Software, 16. One 8mm Tape Drive (Eliant 820 SCSI-2 Single-ended Drive or equivalent -- salient features: 7GB native capacity, industry-standard 5.25" half-high form factor internal drive, transfer rate 60MB per minute.), 17. Minimum one year, on-site warranty, and 18. Fully-assembled. Item 3: 4.7GB DVD-R Writer Drive, P/N: DVR-S201 (Pioneer) or equivalent, Quantity: 1. The salient features are: SCSI-2, tray load external model, write DVD-R (3.95GB and 4.7GB), read DVD-ROM and DVD-R (3.95 GB and 4.7GB) discs. Item 4: 1,0004.7GB DVD-R disks. Disks must be Rimage Printable. Delivery of all items is F.O.B. Destination. Technical subfactors that may be considered in making a best value determination include the following: (i) degree to which stated requirements are met, (ii) special features of the supply that are required in effective program performance capabilities that are not provided by comparable supply/service, (iii) probable life of the supplies selected as compared with that of comparable supply item, (iv) warranty considerations, (v) maintenance availability, (vi) past performance {Offerors may be requested to provide past performance information in support of the Government's bid evaluation.}, (vii) delivery schedule, and (viii) environmental and energy efficiency considerations.
