For the purpose of this procurement a small business is classified as small if its average annual receipts for its preceding three (3) fiscal years do not exceed $5 million. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) applicable to this procurement is 8742. It is anticipated that one cost-reimbursement, level of effort contract will be awarded for five (5) years. The National Cancer Institute, Division of Cancer Prevention (DCP) intends to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the purpose of acquiring the scientific, technical and administrative support services needed to identify and evaluate new chemopreventive agents. This project represents a recompetition of contract N02-CN-55056 with CCS Associates. There are six task areas described in the statement of work: 1) Scientific and Technical Evaluation of Chemoprevention Informatics; 2) Chemopreventive Agents Discovery and Early Development; 3) Scientific andTechnical Information Management for the Division of Cancer Prevention; 4) DCP Protocol Information Office (PIO) Support; 5) Regulatory and Industry Collaborators Technical Support for the Chemoprevention Program and 6) Administrative and Technical Support for Chemoprevention Workshops. The approximate date of issuance is January 25, 2000 with a closing date for receipt of proposals on March 10, 2000.
