Specialist, 717-770-4613 The Defense Distribution Depot Norfolk (DDNV)
has a requirement for a contractor to perform preventative maintenance
services on the metering and data collection system located at various
buildings throughout the DDNV complex at the Norfolk Naval Station,
Norfolk, Virginia. The system includes steam meters, steam meter
processors, natural gas meters, pressure and temperature transmitters,
data communications equipment, and a data collection system as
follows: 9 each Vortex steam meters (VAT and PHD series) manufactured
by Engineering Measurements Company (EMCO); 11 each Insertion Turbine
meters (TMP 910 series) manufactured by EMCO; 1 each Inline Vortex Gas
Turbine meter manufactured by EMCO; 22 each Flow Processors (FP100 and
FP93) manufactured by EMCO; 22 each Pressure and/or temperature
transmitters (integral with steam meter and/or separate) manufactured
by various suppliers; 18 each Hayes compatible modems (data
communications equipment for flow processors); and 1 each Enersave II
and/or Energy Manager NT data collection system manufactured by
Lifespring Resources. All services shall be rendered by or supervised
directly by individuals fully qualified in the relevant profession,
trade or field and by individuals holding any licenses required by law.
Service Engineers shall, as a minimum, demonstrate the following
experience: four (4) years maintaining and repairing steam meter
equipment; possess a current certification issued by Engineering
Measurements Company (EMCO) to install, maintain and repair its flow
meters and processors; and possess a current certification issued by
Lifespring Resources to operate and maintain the Enersave II and/or the
Energy Manager NT data collection system. Contract period is
anticipated to be from March 1, 2000 through February 28, 2001 with
four (4) option year periods. The Standard Industrial Classification
(SIC) code for this project is 7629 and the size standard is $5.0
million. To receive awards resulting from solicitations issued after
