On or about Wednesday, December 29, 1999 the United States Postal Service, Windsor Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT will issue a solicitation for the construction of a new steel frame w/brick veneer owned building of approximately 18,000 sf and associated site improvements for a Carrier Annex located on Atwood Avenue, Johnston, Providence County, Rhode Island. Sealed offers are due on or before Wednesday, February 2, 2000 no later than 4:00 p.m. EST. Award of the project will be based on price and other factors. In addition to a price proposal, a completed Technical Qualification Package and Schedule of Values must be submitted along with other specified documents to complete the proposal package. There will not be a preproposal meeting held for this project. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC OPENING OF THE PROPOSALS AND THE RESULTS OF THE ADVERTISEMENT WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED UNTIL AWARD OF THE PROJECT. Work includes but is not limited to providing all labor, materials and equipment required to construct an approximately 18,000 sf steel frame building with brick veneer and 124,000 sf site development as set forth in contract documents, specifications and drawings. The estimated cost of construction is between $2.5 million and $2.75 million with construction completion approximately 310 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
