pdube@natick-notes02.army.mil. The U.S. Army Soldier and Biological
Chemical Command (SBCCOM), Soldier Systems Center (SSC), on behalf of
the United States Marine Corps is conducting a market survey to
identify sources capable of producing a ground-sleeping pad for the
Marines. The Isopar-mat is to provide an insulating layer between the
Marine and the ground. This Isopar-mat must be non-water absorbent
capable of functioning if punctured, easily packed and weigh no more
than 2.00 pounds. The Isopar-mat must also function in temperatures as
low as -60 degrees F and as high as 140 degrees F. The Isopar-mat must
possess a Clo-value greater than or equal to 1.5 which is the current
standard for Isopar-mats being used by the Marine Corps. Dimensions of
the Isopar-mat, when placed flat, shall be 74" long x 20" wide.
Interested sources shall include information detailed in the CBD Note
25 regarding a firm's experience, personnel, and facilities.
Information should include product price lists, specifications, test
reports, information on materials and components used in construction,
literature and illustrations, relevant company background/experience,
and a sample is desired but not required. Information submitted will
not be disseminated outside of the Government. Any information that is
submitted by a firm will not be returned; and, the Government will
make no payment for samples and/or data submitted. Please submit any
