20 -- RING LASER GYROCOMPASS (RLG) AN/WSN-7B SYSTEMS SOL N00024-00-R-4051 POC Chris Hannah, Contract Specialist, (703) 602-0200 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue an RFP that will provide for a basic and two option periods to procure the following items: Up to one-hundred (100) Ring Laser Gyrocompass (RLG) AN/WSN-7B systems for surface ships and submarines, interim support spares, installation and checkout (INCO) spares kits, heading synchro-amplifier kits, up to five thousand (5,000) man-hours of technical/test program support, provisioned items orders (PIO) and associated data. The above items will be procured from Litton Marine Systems, Inc., 1070 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, VA 229091-2891. The systems will be delivered beginning 12 months from date of contract award. As the designer and sole producer of the AN/WSN-7, the system upon which the AN/WSN-7B is based, Sperry Marine is the only company that possesses the design and data necessary to fabricate, assemble and deliver the required systems for the Navy within the time constraints to meet mission requirements.
