Bates, Contracting Officer (916) 353-4469 or FAX: (916) 985-1933 The Dept of Energy, Western Area Power Admin (Western) requires the design & installation of a new mechnical system for the Tracy Maintenance Facility (TMF) Vehicle Shop, 16800 Kelso Road, Byron, CA. The work shall include furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment. The principle components of the work includes: a. Service Water Plumbing; Design & Construct a complete new service water plumbing system; Access the existing potable water service connection located outside the existing bldg, & provide a new service water plumbing system to feed an existing indoor restroom, provide new hose-bib service, & provide new service water piping & drainage system for 2 new evaporative cooling units. b. Restroom & Plumbing Fixtures; Furnish & Install replacements for the following existing restroom fixtures: 5 gallon electric hot water heater, dual-control lavatory faucet, urinal flush valve, & water closet flush valve & tank fill assemblies; c. Hose-bib; Furnish & Install a new wall mounted hose-bib assembly; d. Evaporative Cooling Units; Design, Furnish & Install a complete new evaporative cooling system for the 2400 square foot Vehicle Shop Bldg; system components shall include: 2 new outdoor, pad mounted or stand mounted evaporative cooling units; required electrical svc including all wiring, conduits, breakers, disconnecting switches, & operational controls; svc water connections & drain piping; complete ductwork system including all wall penetrations, flashing, sealants, supports, & insulation as required; pipe bollards to protect units & concrete pads & or mounting stands; e. Ventilation Systems & Design; Design, Furnish & Install a complete building ventilation system. This project is being solicited as RESTRICTED for Small Business. SIC code is 1711, $7.0 Million. It is anticipated that a FIRM-FIXED PRICE contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. Estimated cost for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
