is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation: F1600-00-T0118
is issued as a Request For Quotation seeking written quotes for the
type of service outlined herein and incorporates provisions and clauses
in effect thorough Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14. This acquisition
is 100% set aside for small business concerns, utilizing the Size
Standard in FAR Part 19 under Standard Industrial Code 1799, and the
Business Size Standard is $7 mil. The government intends to award a
Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures
(SAP). 42 CONS, Maxwell AFB, AL, has a requirement for the following
items: 0001- Furnish all labor, tools, material, equipment and
transportation necessary to test natural gas lines for leaks, to
include mains, service lines, valves and meters at Maxwell AFB and
Gunter Annex, AL. Vendor to provide a written report outlining the
location and severity of any leaks detected. On utility map, indicate
locations, size of line, valve, meter or other pertinent data necessary
to pinpoint type and location of the leak. There are approximately 20
miles of mains and 787 service lines. Vendor must be licensed and in
compliance with all federal and state laws and ordinances affecting
this project. Work to be performed between 7:00am and 4:00pm week days.
Vendor must be able to begin work by Jan 2000. No discussions will be
held. Offer submitted must be firm, complete and accurate. The
