is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation F1600-00-T0143 is
issued as a Request For Quotation seeking written quotes for the type
of service outlined herein and incorporates provisions and clauses in
effect thorough Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14. This acquisition is
100% set aside for small business concerns, utilizing the Size Standard
in FAR Part 19 under Standard Industrial Code 1731, and the Business
Size Standard is $7 mil. The government intends to award a Firm Fixed
Price Purchase Order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). 42
CONS, Maxwell AFB, AL, has a requirement for the following items:
0001- Furnish all labor, parts, tools, material, equipment and
transportation necessary to install transientvoltage surge suppression
equipment on thirty (30) circuit breaker panels as stated in
Attachment A, statement of work. All vendors working on project must be
licensed electricians. Vendor providing installation services must
perform in accordance guidance provided by EFI Electronics Corp (TVSS
equipment supplier), Air Force Civil Engineering electricians and
applicable state and federal electrical and fire safety codes. Work
requiring removal of electrical power to facilities or equipment may
have to be performed after normal duty hours. When required, vendor
must agree to perform installation between 5:00pm and 6:00am week days
or during weekends. Vendor must be able to begin work by 31 Jan 2000.
No discussions will be held. Offer submitted must be firm, complete

will be considered by this agency. Offers are due at 42 Contracting
Squadron not later than 4:30 PM, Central Time, 26 Jan 2000 and should
reference the solicitation listed above. Offerors must include with
their proposal a completed copy of the provision 52.212-3, Offerors
Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. Effective 1 JUN
98, contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor
