Item 0001 Rental of 1500 CFM diesel driven oil-free air compressor. Estimated quantity is 65 weeks. Rental of compressed air system capable of delivering 1500 CFM of dry, oil-free air at 125 PSIG. The system shall consist of a diesel powered air cooled "oil-free" air compressor unit (oil cannot enter the air compression chamber), and after-cooler unit, an air dryer unit; hoses and related equipment to hook the units together. The units shall be portable and easily moved by forklift or overhead crane without special handling gear. The units shall be capable of operating continuously 24 hour daily for months at a time except for routine maintenance. The units shall be designed for outside operation, exposed to snow, wind and rain in a 10 degree F to 100 degree F environment and meet all ASME and NEC code requirements for this type of equipment. The Vendor shall provide a firm fixed price regardless of hours used. The air dryer shall be capable of drying 1500 CFM to a dew point of 35 degrees F under pressure. Item 0002 Rental of a 1200 CFM diesel driven oil-free air compressor. Estimated quantity is 52 weeks. Same specifications as above except the air dryer shall be capable of drying 1200 CFM to a dew point of 35 degrees F under pressure. The following specifications apply to both Item 0001 and Item 0002: a. Unit discharge temperature shall be 35 degrees F or less above ambient. b. Vendor shall provide filters, coolant and lubricant for engine and compressor for duration of rental. c. The Vendor shall be responsible for all routine maintenance, e.g. change oil, filters, etc.. except for daily check of liquid levels. d. Equipment shall be delivered in first class operating condition with complete operating instructions. The unit shall be wired electrically to enable a single point shipyard connection and equipped with 50 foot of cable to enable this electrical connection. e. The vendor shall be responsible for equipment failure not arising out of abuse or negligence by the government. f. Vendor is to supply an adapter to enable the Shipyard to reduce the piping outlet to 1, -1/2, 1-1/4 NPT if necessary. Item 0003 Rental of 50 foot lengths of 3" I.D. air hose rated 400 PSI operating pressure, double wire braid, estimated quantity same as compressors. Item 0004- Rental of ASME certified 150 Cu ft, skid mounted air receiver tank with safety valves for use with either compressor, estimated quantity, same as compressors. Item 0005 Rental of 550 gallon fuel tank, estimate quantity, same as compressors. Delivery and Pickup charges to be included in cost of compressor. Service to the equipment shall be provided within 24 hours after notification. In the event the rental equipment cannot be returned to service within 48 hours of notification, a replacement shall be delivered at no extra charge to the Government. Deliveries to: Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH; Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Norfolk, VA; Subbase New London Groton, CT FOB Destination. The quantities are only estimates. The equipment shall be delivered no later that (3) days after notification, written/verbal. The Contract Award will be an Indefinite Quantity/Requirements Contract with an Option Year to be considered.
