66 -- COOKE SVGA COOLED CCD CAMERA SOL NIH-NIDDK-00-521 DUE 011900 POC Patricia Haun, Purchasing Agent, 301-594-8855 The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) has a requirement to purchase a Cooke SVGA 12 bit, 12.5MHz, 1280Kx1024K, interline cooled CCD Camera, IPLab Spectrum image analysis software for MacIntosh, Extension for control of filter wheel and shutters, 1.0X C-mount for Zeiss Axiovert 100 small port, Uniblitz shutter 25mm (includes: mounting set, cables, and control box) and Installation/Training. The following specifications shall be included in the system: 1) 6.7-micron square pixel (1300x1030) for high-resolution imaging; 2) Digital camera that can be cooled to -25C; 3) Camera shall be equipped with a mount; 4) Camera system will only work with IPLab Spectrum Software for the MacIntosh. The Institute intends to purchase this equipment by other than full and open competition from BioVision Technologies Inc., 80 West Welsh Pool Road, Suite 101 North, Exton, PA 19341. To the best of the Governments knowledge they are the sole manufacturer and distributor of this equipment. Interested vendors may identify in writing their interest with a capability statement to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all responses received before the closing date of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to complete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is anticipated that Request for Quotation (RFQ) NIH-NIDDK-00-521 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is January 19, 2000.
