The National Library of Medicine (NLM) intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Ms. Elizabeth A. Wood, 1200 S. Courthouse Road, #436, Arlington, Virginia 22204, under the authority 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(1) for a specialized exhibition service. The NLM is expanding its efforts to present thought-provoking exhibitions to the public. The program is integrating its operations into the History of Medicine Division's mission and the goals and objectives of the Library as a whole to expand its consumer health information initiative. The History of Medicine Division needs an experienced individual to manage and maintain extensive object databases and notebooks for a 6000 square foot exhibition about the Internet and medicine, in addition to administrative support and organization for the exhibition program. Ms. Wood has the credentials, specialized experience, expertise, and other qualifications to provide the requested service. Ms. Wood has worked on multiple projects for museums andher graduate degree. Her museum studies training coupled with her administrative and computer skills will greatly enhance the exhibition team. This combination of museum studies, administrative, and practical experience makes Ms. Wood uniquely qualified to provide the required service.
