J -- AIRCRAFT INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, AND MODIFICATION SOL 51WCNA006013SLW DUE 012500 POC Sharon Walker 816-426-7267 x241 or FAX 816-426-7530 The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Aircraft Operations Center (AOC), MacDill AFB, Florida, intends to contract for aircraft inspection, maintenance, repair, and modification. The required work will be performed on the NOAA, AOC, 1995 Gulfstream G-IV SP high altitude fixed wing aircraft N49RF, Serial Number 1246. The contractor shall provide all inspections, maintenance, repair and modifications when the aircraft arrives at their facility. The aircraft will be flown to the contractor's facility by NOAA personnel prior to commencement of the required 72 Month Scheduled Inspection, Operations Two Package, and modifications (ASC's, CBs and others as outlined) which will be done in accordance with all Gulfstream Aerospace and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) publications. Acceptable aircraft downtime if four (4) weeks subject to penalities (liquidated damages). Work will commence on or about 20 March 2000. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and parts necessary to perform the following types of service, which include but are not limited to: Gulfstream Computerized Maintenance Program (CMP), inspection, repair, maintenance, required manufacturer's and/or customer requested modifications on an as needed basis. All items are to be provided by the contractor in a new or overhauled condition and shall be properly tagged in conformance with FAA regulations. The contractor will retain all old or Non-exchangeable parts. Parts and materials furnished on these inspections, repairs, and modification will be warrantied to be free from defects and workmanship. This acquisition is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside, Standard Industrial Classification Code 3724 applies. This acquisition is being conducted as a simplified acquisition under the authority of FAR Part 13. The solicitation will be issued on or about December 31. 1999.
