Items of concern include small (5.56mm, 7.62mm, etc.) medium (20mm, 25mm, 40mm, etc.) and large caliber (105mm, 120mm, 140mm, etc.) warheads, penetrators, shaped charges and other military related components. Specifically, this is to include items made from depleted uranium (DU), tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, copper and related alloy. The type of contract contemplated for this effort is an Indefinite- quantity contract with a base year minimum of $50,000. and maximum of $5,153,000. This effort also includes four (4) option years, each with a minimum of $50,000. and maximum of around $5,300,000. The contractor must possess a valid Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) License, or appropriate license in which the facility is located, covering the radioactive materials to be used. The highest security classification for this effort is Secret. The solicitation is being issued on a unrestricted basis. The solicitation may be accessed through http://procnet.pica.army.mil.
