proposes to contract the dockside and repairs of USCGC BASSWOOD (WLB
306), a 180' buoy tender, homeported in San Francisco, California. All
work shall be performed at the Coast Guard Island Pier side, located
on Coast Guard Island, Alameda, CA., during the period of 27 March 2000
and complete 05 May 2000. Work items to include; sewage/gray water
tanks(s) clean and inspect, fuel oil tank clean and inspect, main motor
steam clean, main motor air cooler inspection/hydro, propulsion shaft
thrust bearing, stern seal, and pedestal bearing overhaul at dockside,
heat exchanger overhaul, steering gear motor overhaul, electric meter
calibration, mast rigging renewal, magazine alarm system installation,
cleaning and calibration of pressure, temperature, and tachometer
gauges, pressure relief valve inspection and test, deck locker
ventilation installation, ventilation duct cleaning, vent fans
overhaul, hydraulic cargo hoisting gear overhaul and test, level 2,
cargo hoisting padeye testing, lengthening the outboard swivel shots,
mooring bit inspection, allied D5000CT single point davit overhaul,
annual inspection of life raft/hydrostatic release, potable water tank
partial preservation and striker plate renewal, buoy deck
preservation, electrical matting renewal, polymeric deck covering
resealing, temporary services. Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued

the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All
