10 -- HIGH CAPACITY .45 CALIBER PISTOL SOL No solicitation DUE 010400 POC Linda White, Contracting Officer, 410-278-2998/FAX: 410-278-2980 The Research, Development & Acquisition Office, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is seeking to identify potential sources who can provide a material enhancement that enables an operator to utilize a .45 caliber pistol with at least 13 rounds of ammnunition. The material device sought can be an altogether new weapon system that provides a higher capacity of ammunition as stated above, or can be an item that can be used with current commerciao .45 caliber pistols. In either case, the incorporated weapon system will be reviewed for its ease of employment, accuracy, reliability and ammunition capacity, to name a few. Additionally, a mounting rail for attaching lasers and flashlights is desired on this weapon. This notice is not to be considered a solicitation; no solicitation exists. All responses received by the government by the response deadline will be reviewed to determine which firms have a potential material solution that meets or exceeds the foregoing requirement.
