EXTENTION OF EPA'S RDBMS SYSTEMS SOFTWARE CONTRACT S -- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS OR REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES. The Environmental Protection Agency seeks to extend the technical support function of the RDBMS Systems Software Contract with Oracle Complex System Corporation on a sole source basis for a period of eight (8) months ending September 30, 2000. This contract extension will allow for the continuation of technical support to major, mission critical Oracle software applications which are now under development through current delivery orders which were issued under this contract. No new delivery orders will be issued under this extension and only work required to service these active delivery orders will be ordered. No increase in ceiling amount of the contract will be necessary. EPA considers Oracle to be uniquely qualified to continue development of these delivery orders because of the time critical nature of the work being performed and Oracle's expertise and experience with these applications under this contract.
