Z -- TWO PHASE DESIGN/BUILD REPAIR PRIMARY RUNWAY, TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, OKLAHOMA SOL DACA56-00-R-2001 DUE 011900 POC Susan Killgore, Contract Specialist, (918)669-7272 Required design services consist of all work related to the preparation of plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, surveys, studies and applicable permit applications. Site work consists of repair and replacement of a major portion of the pavement for Runway 17/35 (primary runway). Approximately 3,000 meters long, 61m wide area of runway are deteriorated and require repair or replacement. Existing portland cement concrete keel section of the runway shall be replaced by removing the existing concrete pavement and base. The pavement replacement section shall include base, rapid drainage layer and portland cement concrete. An underdrain system shall be required to drain the rapid drainage layer. Existing asphaltic concrete portion of the keel and runway edge shall be milled and overlaid. Replacement of painted airfield pavement markings shall be required on new pavement surfaces. Existing pavement markings on the primary runway not disturbed by new construction shall be painted over. Estimatedcost range of this project is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available on or about December 17, 1999, and will be provided on Compact Disks (CD-ROM) free of charge. IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE NUMBER OF CD-ROMS WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE (1) PER FIRM. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed hard copy format.
