This is a modification to update the following information in the Commerce Business Daily issued November 2, 1999, posted November 1, 1999. The issue date for plans and specifications is 10 November 1999. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(7), copies of the solicitation will be available through the electronic FAX medium or may be provided in a paper hard copy format via FAX request #215-897-6932 Attn: Cherita L. Williams. The Government intends to issue this solicitation through the use of a FAX request on Company Letterhead citing: Solicitation #N62472-00-Q-2226, identify whether the firm is a small business, small disadvantaged business, and if the firm is a women owned business to the name and address indicated above and the internet. The address for downloading this solicitation from the Internet is: http://www.efdnorth.navy.mil. Downloading from the Internet is free of charge, however some plans and specifications will take a considerable amount of time to download. All prospective offerors are encouraged to register on the Northern Division Internet ebs web site for this project when plans and specifications become available. Notification if any changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the Internet. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the Internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. The Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) has been amended to require all contractors to register in the Department of Defense (DOD)Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Be advised for solicitations issued after May 31, 1998, failure to register in the CCR makes an offeror ineligible for award of DOD contracts.
