(FACILITIES MAINTENANCE), BASE SUPPLY, AND TRANSPORTATION SUPPORT FOR
THE INSTALLATION AND LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT AT MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS
BASE IN BARSTOW, CALIFORNIA The Southwest Division, Naval Facilities
Engineering Command (SOUTHWESTNAVFACENGCOM), Contracts Department, is
hereby soliciting interested Industry representatives to participate in
an Industry Forum scheduled for 02 December 1999 from 9:00 A.M. to
12:00 P.M. at MCLB Barstow, Nebo Base, Building 38, the Oasis Club. The
intent of the Industry Forum is to receive Industry input on common
business practices for facilities related services, contract structure,
benchmarking and perceived impediments to a successful A-76
competition. Government representatives are currently scheduled to
provide briefings on the following tentative topics: (1) MCLB Barstow
Overview (2) Performance Work Statement (PWS) Overview (3) Competitive
Sourcing (A-76) Overview (4) Contracting Methodology (5)
Question/Answer Session. Those interested in attending the Industry
Forum must fax or e-mail a request to (619) 532-3358, Attn: Sonnya
Crook, or crooksg@efdsw.navfac.navy.mil, no later than 26 November
1999. The request must include the company name, address, phone number,
fax number, e-mail address, business status (small business or large
business), company role (prime or subcontractor), list of attendees,
and proposed topics for discussion. Industry representatives are
encouraged to provide comments regarding how the Government can best
package the work for the solicitation to achieve maximum savings and
value for the Navy. All comments and questions must be e-mailed to
Sonnya Crook at the e-mail address referenced above by 26 November
1999. The "draft" PWS is available electronically on our website at
