The Defense Logistics Agency, DASC Office of Contracting intends to issue an order to COGNOS Corporation for all necessary labor, equipment and materials required to provide COGNOS Alliance Maintenance support for the Defense Contract Management Command (DCMC) and the Share Data Warehouse (SDW) owned COGNOS Impromptu and PowerPlay Commercial off the Shelf (COTS)software. Maintenance support includes on-call technical support, software maintenance releases and major upgrades of the Impromptu and PowerPlay COTS software from COGNOS Corporation. COGNOS Corporation is the sole provider of this service. All software is proprietary code owned by COGNOS Corporation. The requirement is for services to maintain the COGNOS Impromptu and PowerPlay COTS software that DCMC and SDW currently own and to provide the 35,000 users technical support, maintenance releases and major product upgrades. The requirement for the Impromptu and PowerPlay software provides users an independent ability to navigate through numerous databases and collect data in tabular and graphical formats in a timely, reliable, unencumbered manner. These services will be performed at DCMC Headquarters, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No award will be made on the basis of any response to this advertisement.
