Transportation Commission (MTC)is planning to release a Request for
Proposal (RFP) to retain a Contractor to Design, Build/Implement,
Operate and Maintain the San Francisco Bay Area's Advanced Traveler
Information System (TravInfo). The Contract Term will be initially six
years, with the potential for extensions up to four additional years.
MTC's budget for the first six years is $40 million. The Project will
primarily be funded with U.S. Department of Transportation Congestion
Mitigation & Air Quality (CMAQ) funds, with additional local matching
funds. If you are interested in obtaining a copy of the RFP, please

Proposal in sealed envelopes labeled "MTC TravInfo Contractor

2000. MTC has developed a website to assistpotential proposers for this

workshop and a pre-proposal meeting are scheduled for December 1 and 2,
1999 at Joseph P. Bort MetroCenter, 101 Eighth Street, Oakland, CA
Potential DBE firms are encouraged to attend this pre-proposal meeting.
