F100-PW-220/220E/229 Engine for Bench Testing; Performs Intermediate
Functional Test of the Digital Elect Engine Control & the Diagnostic
Unit. Shipment of the items are destined for Warner Robbins Air force
Base, Georgia. PREDOM MATERIAL: Electronic components & Cables. This is
not a small business set-aside.The Air Force intends to award a Three
Year Requirements type contract to the sole source contractors below as
follows: CAGE: 52661, Pratt & Whitney The Government lacks the data
necessary to re-procure this equipment competitively and to evaluate
offers from other than the original source (s). As a result, the
government anticipates that this solicitation will result in award of
a sole-source contract under authority of FAR 6.302-1. There are no
Government Drawings or specifications available for this solicitation.
This is not a small business set-aside. The Government anticipates
releasing a paper Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about to sources
requesting a RFP document. Fax requests to the point of contact (POC)
are allowed and should be requested in time to meet the RFP response
date. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified in
this notice for additional information and/or to communicate concerns,
if any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not
satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed
to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the
proposal development phase of an acquisition. The Ombudsman does not
diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer,
but communicates Contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and
recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When
requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentially as to the
source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the
evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested
